I’ve really been enjoying my experience at Lifetime. The facility is always clean, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the customer service has consistently been great. One thing I truly appreciate is how warm and friendly everyone is, especially when you walk in. The staff always greets you and makes you feel welcome, which honestly makes a big difference and creates such a positive environment. One of the biggest highlights for me has been the Pilates classes with Parker on Mondays. I’ve been going for about a month now, and when I first started, it definitely was not easy catching on. But Parker is such an amazing instructor. She’s patient, encouraging, and truly meets you where you are, no matter your skill level. I also took a couple of private sessions with her, and that made an even bigger difference in helping me feel more confident and comfortable. She creates such a positive and supportive environment, and the members in the class are great as well. If you’re thinking about trying Pilates or looking for a gym that feels welcoming, supportive, and genuinely community driven, I definitely recommend Lifetime and Parker’s classes.

Gonna try to give a balanced review on this unlike some of the folks that think leaving a one star review is gonna make a parking deck appear The pros - The gym equipment. I was a member at LA fitness before this and the quality, quantity, and variety of machines absolutely blows the more budget friendly gym options out of the water. I can pretty much always do my workout in the order I want with the equipment I want without having to wait. The machines are also well maintained and get fixed quickly when they do break down. There’s also no shortage of lifting platforms here. I would love maybe one or two more benches but once again, I usually never have a problem getting one. - The staff. The staff has always been super kind and responsive to me the few times I’ve had questions. Friendly when I come in, friendly when I leave. - Amenities. I can’t speak for all of the amenities but the ones I do use are typically well kept. The tennis courts are nicer than most of the other facilities in the area and I can pretty much always get one. I don’t understand the locker room complaints. They’re clean in my eyes but maybe I have different standards. - The hours. One of the primary reasons I upgraded gyms was because LA fitness kept cutting their hours back. This location is open until midnight during the week and 11 on the weekends. I live nearby and take full advantage of being able to pop over at 9:30 on a weeknight and pretty much having the entire place to myself. I’m not a morning person but they open at 4 if that’s your jam. - Spaciousness. This kind of goes hand in hand with my first point but having wide open spaces with natural light coming in makes working out feel way less like a chore. Even at peak hours I don’t feel cramped inside. The cons - It’s as pricey as all hell. Don’t get me wrong, I knew what I was signing up for but every month I question myself when it hits my credit card. If there was something in the 150 range as close to me as life time is, I’d heavily consider it but being so close, I kind of just think of it as paying 330 on top of my housing expenses to have a nice gym I can pop into anytime. This extends to any paid services as well. I was surprised to learn that not only are most of the classes paid services, they’re more expensive than the same quality of class that you’d find outside the club. I’ve enjoyed the few things I’ve had at the life cafe but the prices there are just absurd. The business model really does feel like it’s aimed to milk all the people with more money than sense. The one good thing about paying so much here is that I’ve been able to access any life time I’ve tried across the country. Silver lining I suppose. - The parking. This is a real concern and I do absolutely consider that when planning my day. No shot I’m trying to park here between 5-7 on a Monday. A lot of the spots are really tight and if you’re still trying to bring your F-250 here on Monday at 6:30 you’re a damned fool. - The outdoor pool. It’s small and the few times I’ve used it, it felt like I was at a water park for small children. I don’t hate kids or anything, it just wasn’t what I expected. - Some of the clientele. My first week here, I heard some dude in the locker room unironically talk to his buddy about surrounding himself with other “high value people”. I know these folks are in the minority but naturally the high prices here skew the population towards the wealthier side and unsurprisingly, some of these folks are a little snobby. I see more unracked weights here than I ever did at LA fitness and that place had a serious problem with it. A personal butler is not included with the price, clean up after yourselves. Overall, I do really enjoy it and don’t feel like the value is too bad. The price really does make it hard for me to give it any more than 4 stars though. If it was even a little more expensive or I lived a little further away though, I might reconsider. 3.5/5
