We had an exquisite night here. Mike and his team are incredibly personable and Mike loves to come out of the kitchen and meet and greet his punters, he is a lovely man. The setting is fab, and the building has a fantastic story. It was a rent collectors during English rule and then during the great hunger they gave out tickets to sail to America, not free I may addyou had to relinquish your property to the English landlords. Enough about that the food is excellent. The prawn cocktail is a throw back with modern flare. The catch of the day, Hake, was cooked perfectly, and the scallops were to die for. Love this place and highly recommend it. Price per person: €70–80 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Underwhelming experience despite high expectations We came here based on two strong recommendations, but unfortunately, the service, atmosphere, and main courses fell well short. We were seated on the upper floor, where service was virtually non-existent. We almost had to go downstairs just to place our order, and ultimately had to walk downstairs to pay after waiting over 10 minutes for someone to check on us. As for the food, the chicken wing sauce fell flat, and the main course arrived poorly cooked (well past the requested medium) and of mediocre quality. To their credit, the kitchen prepared a replacement that was an improvement, and the dessert was actually very good. However, between the slow service and food quality, the overall experience was quite disappointing. I will not recommend this place. Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2
