What a little jem. Found this restaurant randomly while house hunting in Thousand Oaks. So warm and enviting. The food tasted homemade and so delicious. Curtomer Service was more than ideal. You felt transported somewhere else where staff are simply so friendly and attentive. Already vame back twice withing 3 weeks. I had lunch with Richard at Limena Peruvian Eatery. Richard had  the CHAUFA DE CARNE: Beef with Peruvian fried rice, bean sprouts and peas,  This dish gave him a choice of rice or quinoa. I had the CEVICHE LIMEÑA: Fresh local halibut, tossed in lime juice and red onions, and a side of yams. There was also Peruvian corn and toasted Peruvian corn nuts.  The flavors were surprisingly exquisite. The sweet yams balanced the flavors. The Halibut was fresh and delightful. Both of the dishes were absolutely delicious.  The dishes were served at the perfect temperature. The Chef is amazing. I had a lemonade which was really good and refreshing.  Richard had a Peruvian beer which was also good.   The prices were fair. We had a choice of inside or outside seating. We sat inside. The staff were charming.   I read an article in the June Simi Valley Acorn that highlighted the experience and education of the Chef at Limena Peruvian Eatery. It influenced me to go right over and try the dreamy ceviche. Dreams come true because the Ceviche was exactly how the Acorn article described it. The Chef's father came out to meet with me and Richard. He spoke so eloquently about the Chef, the Peruvian dishes, and Peru. I felt like I was in a little restaurant in Peru., even though I've never been there. Have some fun. East something different and enjoy. We plan to go again to see what other treats are in store for me next time.
