Shawnda, our server, was superb. Excellent food and the experience was wonderful. We had the clams, hamburger, and Lion’s Mane steak and all were really tasty and filling. Loads of flavors and well cooked, and fresh. We will def eat here again and hopefully see Shawnda again!! As a member of the Atlanta Botanical Garden for years, I’ve dined at Longleaf Restaurant more times than I can count. I genuinely wanted to like it, and I kept giving it another chance because of its beautiful setting and convenient location inside the gardens. Unfortunately, each visit has left me disappointed. One visit involved waiting well over an hour for our food. To the manager’s credit, the meal was comped, but the experience made me hope the service issues would be addressed. Sadly, that doesn’t appear to have happened. The final straw came during my mother’s birthday. We had a reservation, were seated promptly, and then… nothing. Over 20 minutes passed without anyone greeting our table, taking a drink order, or even acknowledging we were there. It wasn’t even a busy day, either. The place was dead. After waiting long enough, we got up and left. It’s frustrating because Longleaf has everything it needs to be a standout restaurant. The location is incredible, surrounded by one of Atlanta’s most beautiful attractions. Instead, the consistently poor service undermines the experience. If you’re visiting the Atlanta Botanical Garden, I’d recommend eating elsewhere. There are plenty of excellent restaurants just a few minutes away, especially in Colony Square, where you’ll likely receive far better service and a much more enjoyable dining experience. Longleaf Restaurant needs a complete overhaul. The Atlanta Botanical Garden is a world-class destination, and its signature restaurant should reflect that same standard of excellence. Right now, it simply doesn’t. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $50–60
