As a local business owner myself I wouldn’t usually leave a negative review but am shocked at our experience at Lishkara. We attended with plenty of time of our booking, only to be told our table wasn’t available. After wasting 45 minutes with 4 children and 3 elderly relatives we were told they could not accommodate us. The manager made no effort to come out herself and instead left the front of staff to deal with it in an almost child like manner, there was no remorse for the inconvenience caused and we left hungry and disappointed. We were very much looking forward to dining here but unfortunately will not be back. If there was a zero star option they would have been my choice

You were right to be disappointed, and we sincerely apologise. Rekha had personally confirmed your 8:30pm booking, but the previous party remained at the table much longer than expected. On an exceptionally busy Saturday, we were unable to make a suitable table available for your group.However, we should have recognised the extent of the delay much earlier, communicated more clearly and had a manager speak to you directly. Leaving your family, including four children and three elderly relatives, waiting for around 45 minutes was not acceptable.We have taken this incident seriously. Following what happened, we have decided to stop accepting timed table reservations and will instead operate on a first-come, first-served basis. We have also removed the reservation page from our website, as we cannot always guarantee exactly when previous guests will finish their meal.
