The appetizers were phenomenal. My husband and I ordered 3 different appetizers and every single one was SO good. Honestly, they were the highlight of the entire meal. The restaurant itself is beautiful and our server was great as well. Unfortunately, the entrees were very disappointing. I ordered the yellowfin tuna and it was honestly inedible. It was completely covered in pepper to the point where all you could taste was pepper with chunks of tuna. Such a horrible dish, I genuinely could not eat it. Please take that item off the menu because it was just bad. My husband ordered the swordfish, and while it was better, the sides felt oddly paired with the fish and the dish didn’t feel balanced overall. I would probably only come back for the appetizers because those were absolutely amazing. Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Best meal I have had since moving to the Gulf Coast (2.3 years ago) I should have taken photos... but I didn't. This was our rundown: Drinks:. Old Fashioned. Sazerac. Pear Pressure. Scenic 98. Left Coast - White Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley) Food:. Amuse bouche. The Roasted Oysters. Tuna Tacos (“taco” is a stretch. Try little delicious baby won tons). Mom's Sweet Cornbread. Smoked Fish Dip. Boudin stuffed Quail. Peppercorn Encrusted Yellow Fin. Iberian Bone in Pork Chop. Grouper (catch of the day). Creme Brulee / shortbread cookie. Lemon Buttermilk pie. Espresso Ridiculous is the word. Every single thing I put in my mouth was substantial. There was not one bite that was "ok" everything was like eye opening, wow. I can't believe this taste is in my mouth. Our server (I believe his name was Morgan) was engaging, clever, helpful and encouraging. Yeah. Encouraging. I love the space. The bar is cool. The Wall paper in the bathroom is awesome. The scent of the hand soap alone was worth the trip to the toilet. I know I am gushing, but after so many disappointing dining experiences recently by "promising" new establishments, I was so happy to finally be floored by a meal. Yes I've been to the Hope Farm. It's great. Little Bird exceeded my experiences at THF. I was limited to 3 apps...(4 if you count the cornbread) so we will have to go back to fort Octopus and the Pork belly and whatever else they come up with over there. I don't usually write reviews, but I have been telling anyone who would listen today how good this meal was. 2 of them have already made reservations. Thank you to the LB crew. This was an incredible random Friday night in the middle of February. and yes...I know 5 star reviews are suspect. I don't care.
