Come here for a meal right after seeing Thomas Chalmers Statue. Italian cuisine is a must-order one at this restaurant. What a joy it was to visit Little Capo for the first time last night! I really enjoyed splurging on a nice, three-course dinner with wine at the bar, and all of the food was exceptional. Honestly the best meal I've had in a long time, with the burrata starter probably being the ultimate highlight for me with its genius flavor combinations, but the gnocchetti main course and the berry cake dessert were also fantastic. I also have to shout out the amazing service from all of the friendly staff. They were all so attentive and warm, and I wanted for nothing, including friendly chats, despite how busy they all were making sure that every guest had full glasses and every comfort they could provide. I'm not surprised that this place was busy and full given the quality of the food & service and its warm, lively atmosphere, and I'll absolutely be back whenever I'm back in Edinburgh! Rocked up without a reservation at 7pm on a Saturday night and sheepishly asked if there was any chance of a table for 2. The chap on the door kindly said he could find us something in about an hour's time so we walked about and came back. The atmosphere was vibrant with lots of animated convo and not a mobile in sight. Bar staff were very good humoured, alternating between mixing cocktails, offering recommendations, taking orders, serving food. They have perfected the art of making you feel like the place is yours as much as theirs. Starters were the largest olives I have ever seen with slight hint of chili oil. Calamari was excellent. Main courses of risotto and gnochetti were amazing. Frankly my only niggle would be that the wine measures were quite modest for the price but that said I'm no expert. Figure on paying about £75 for two people. Will definitely be back. Will recommend to everyone. Absolutely spot on. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was in Edinburgh for 5 days. Hands down this was my favorite place, I went back multiple times and if I were a local I would be a regular for sure. The food is AMAZING the wine selection was great and the cocktails are perfect. The staff were all very kind and helpful. LOVE THIS PLACE! Make sure you make a reservation even if dining for 1.
