Little Hop, located in the trendy Fitzroy neighborhood, is a Mexican establishment that offers absolutely delicious food with a great selection of vegetarian options. The ambiance is cool and laid back, perfect for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. The interior design is simple yet stylish, with a small bar area and a few tables both indoors and outdoors. The prices are reasonable, making it a great spot for those on a budget.
The menu features a variety of tacos, including zucchini, beef, chicken, mushroom, green beans, and fish. The zucchini taco is a must-try, while the fish taco is a winner for seafood lovers. They also offer Gorditas, which are filled with mushroom or beef, and quesadillas with chicken or cheese.
The drink menu is impressive, with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic options. The Don Julio tequila shot comes with a nice chaser, while the margaritas and Tommy's margarita are refreshing and well-made. For non-alcoholic options, they have Jamaica and soft drinks.
Little Hop also has a few special features, such as outdoor seating, cool music, and a bar tender who also DJs. The staff is friendly and attentive, making for a pleasant dining experience.
Overall, Little Hop is a fine dining spot that offers authentic Mexican flavors at an affordable price. It's definitely worth a visit for anyone looking for a casual yet delicious meal in Fitzroy.
Amazing vibe, sound system runs on LPs, so cool. Such a great beer selection, had a great chat with the owner, especially if you're in to IPAs. Highly recommend. Atmosphere: 5
I never really like to review, I’ve been a waitress for 5 years but this was just straight up extremely bad and embarrassing service. Tonight which was a reunion with 2 other friends, we sat down and ordered 2 margaritas which eventually arrived AFTER our food ( which was lukewarm at best), My partner then wanted to order some more food and the guy serving FOH sighed as he asked to order. The drink order was then wrong and I had to wait another 5 mins for a staff member to come out and request what I actually ordered. It then obviously was not put front of the line and came out another 15 minutes later (yes we timed) and we had already finished eating and was ready to go by then. Ontop of all this the glass was considerably smaller than my friends who had got the same drink. I was then offered no compensation or apologies and when I requested some was told “u did drink it though” which was totally not the point and so unprofessional it l more so I had finished AN ENTIRE MEAL with no drink and then only after having to ask was only offered 50% off one drink. Has put me off coming back staff can really do better. Tried every type of taco at little hop for my first restaurant in Melbourne! The staff were so so lovely and gave me a free drink after I was ordering upon their recommendations. So kind of you guys! I appreciate it. You were also so attentive and took care of us well. The tacos were all fantastic flavour. My favourite was the beef with the table hot sauce (YUM!). Be careful if you don't like spicy though, those hot sauces are not for the faint. The bean tacos were a close 2nd and were surprisingly super good. Same with the chicken tacos. All the food came out quickly as well! I do wish that the shop had a bulk deal on their tacos where you could save money depending on how much you ordered. Or some specials of the day depending on what products they have too much of. Thank you for your fantastic service, fantastic tequila collection, yummy tacos and my first experience in Melbourne!
