Absolutely can’t fault this place. Amazing from start to finish. Food was absolutely delicious and we thought the price was really reasonable. Service was great, especially when handling allergies; going above and beyond to check through and annotate the whole menu. High recommend! An opportunistic drop-in for us on a Sunday afternoon, whilst in Frome and looking for a light lunch. Little Walcot turned out to be the perfect place. We love its sister restaurant, 'Walcot House' in Bath, so we were keen to see how this compared. On arrival, we received a very friendly greeting and our request for a table for two was met with a 'can-do' attitude and the allocation of a lovely table by the large, street-facing window. Service was excellent from start to finish - prompt, friendly and efficient. We both chose cauliflower soup which was simply beautiful and the best we have ever tasted. In addition, we chose a small plate of beef croquettes which were incredibly tasty and beautifully presented. All of the above accompanied by a tasty G&T! We were surprised by 'Schweppes' tonic water being served instead of one of the more premium brands - not an issue but unexpected for a restaurant of this calibre. We were thoroughly impressed with the food, service and ambience, all of which combined to make for a perfect lunch setting. We will be back! First time going to the Little Walcot and it did not disappoint . I will definitely be returning again soon. I had the Venison which was delicious, with a croissant bread & butter pudding. I'd recommend visiting. Meal type: Dinner Price per person: £30–40 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
