The food was horrible and expensive. It is my birthday and I only asked for a free cookie (or something cheap) because I was so disappointed to pay 7.50 for a literal bite of a biscuit. I never ask for "free food" only to have a good birthday breakfast which they could not provide. The crossiant was bland and soggy. The biscuits and gravy was 7.50 for a single one and the gravy was obviously packaged powered gravy. I didn't even bother with the coffee after seeing the quality offered with everything else. If you want overpriced donuts (27$ a dozen) this is the spot I guess, but don't come here for anything else. I'm sorry you were unhappy that we denied your request for free food and that what you spent was more than you expected, however some of your information is false in that our glazed are only $1.10 each not $2.50. This place used to be great. I have been coming here since I was a little girl. They had the best donuts in the state of Colorado. Every summer we would drive up to the mountains and make sure that Buena Vista was one of our first stops because we wanted some of Loback's Bakery bear claws, long johns, cake donuts and bread. Some of my favorite items were the almond crisps, the blueberry donuts and the Carmel nut rolls. The best item hands down was the applesauce donuts, not anymore, they are heavy and hard, filled with grease. Now they don't have one thing I would purchase. The dough is not the same. It seems that they are using the same dough for everything. The previous owners had a yellow, lighter dough they used for the donuts. Now the donuts are hard, greasy and not worth the purchase. The crispys which are suppose to be the leftover dough are priced ridiculous! I do not recommend this place anymore.
