While Nepalese restaurants are becoming more common in Kashiwa, this one is a cut above the rest. Beyond the typical Indian and Nepalese curries and naan, this restaurant offers Nepalese local dishes rarely seen in Japan, such as pani puri and samae bhaji. The pani puri, though bite-sized, has an addictive flavor with its aromatic spices and tangy taste. The samae bhaji is also perfect as a snack with drinks, showcasing the depth of Nepalese cuisine. The interior isn't flashy, but it has a warm, homey atmosphere reminiscent of a local eatery. The staff are friendly, making it a very comfortable place to be. Eating authentic Newari food in Kashiwa, such an amazing experience...our accomodation was in the area, so we decided to check it out. It was a random discovery, but I'm glad it happened. Delicious food and warm hospitality. Standard thali is great, chicken curry is wonderful, mutton choli is nice too, the newari tali is also good, but the flat rice (chura) is a bit weird, it feels like eating unsoaked muesli. Still I'm happy I could try it. Highly popular in Bihar, India, a state where I have travelled before, but it seems to be popular in Nepal as well :) Overall great experience, I highly recommend this restaurant for those who want ethnic, authentic nepali experience. Except for the naan, which is standard (sweet), adjusted to japanese tastes :) I like it though Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
