Tried three pastries at this cozy bakery—nice warm vibe with a well-stocked display case The cream puff was the standout: crisp, fragrant choux shell with a perfect crackle, filled generously with light, delicious cream that’s rich but not overly sweet. Truly excellent. The strawberry tart was decent—strawberries were mildly sweet, but the layered custard was rich and balanced, and the pastry base was nicely baked without any sogginess. The fromage cake was straightforward and mild—great if you prefer less intense cheese flavor. It has a satisfying bite, not too light or airy. Solid quality overall, especially the cream puff!! Wish I bought more, and I still miss it till date. Meal type: Other Price per person: ¥1–1,000 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Love coming to L’ocanda. A little oasis of Italian heaven with a fabulous patisserie. It’s a family affair started by Chef Takuma Okada (joined by his brother) after four years learning italian cuisine in the finest italian establishments. Update: Chef Has taken fine dining to a new level. The degustation menu was amazing! Amazing balance of flavours and refreshing combinations of tastes and textures. photo credit @lpjcreativeAmuse Bouche of Medley of #whelk or #salmon with citrus seeded mustard#chèvre with pickled red cabbage#monkfish w/yuzu zest, artichoke purée and monkfish liver ‘foie gras’#freshpasta w/ ragù of venisonFresh pasta pumpkin #tortelloni w/ shaved truffles and burnt sugar #salmon w/ a citrus Seeded mustardRoasted #duckbreast w/ mountain grape jam and sweet potato#clementinesorbet wi/ a delicate almond mousse finished w/ a citrus marmalade of lemons, mandarins and #yuzu
