Absolutely adore this place, we took our little one last week for a breakfast and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. Tomorrow I have every intention to go for breakfast again and the speciality hot chocolate for the walk round! Food is top tier, service is even better and it’s just a really lovely place to be

Nestled within the picturesque Locke Park, it’s like someone took a slice of paradise and added a coffee machine. The café’s charm is undeniable – it’s as though it’s trying its best to be the café equivalent of a warm hug. The staff are a cheerful bunch, so much so you’ll be half-expecting them to offer you a cup of tea and a natter about the weather. Anna was very helpful, if this was a maccas then she should definitely get an extra star. The menu is a delightful selection of treats. From breakfast that could potentially solve your Monday blues to cakes that might just make you question your willpower, there’s something for every taste. The coffee is brewed to perfection, and if you’re a tea specialist, you’ll be pleased to know they’ve got options to make your taste buds do a happy dance. The place is cleaner than your Aunt Mabel’s finest china, and it’s got an ambiance that says “relax, we’ve got this”. Whether you’re a local or just wandering by, Locke Park Café is a splendid little spot to park yourself for a while and enjoy some top-notch fare in a setting that’s prettier than a postcard. In short, it’s a gem. Give it a go – your taste buds will thank you, and you might even leave with a bit of a smile (or at least a cake-induced sugar high). I recommend this lovely cafe, despite the worst bacon sandwich I've ever had and would never have again... I left it! However, I also had the best scone I've ever had.. even two days after purchase, as I forgot it was in the car. I'll definitely be back for more scones. I, and my dog, received a friendly welcome, the service was good, the cafe is pleasant inside and stunning outside, with out door seating overlooking the lake with its pedalos and ducks and a heronwatching everything. Predominantly, a lovely experience. Service: 4 Atmosphere: 3
