After enjoying The Church of Saint John the Evangelist, visit this bar which is not far away. Visitors point out that they like the menu of Spanish cuisine here. The cooks here prepare good scallops, tapas and bao. Eating perfectly cooked churros is what many clients advise.

Wow! This has been the best dining experience we have had on our week-long visit through the Great Southern region. I’d actually go as far as saying that it’s the best meal we’ve had from a restaurant in a very long time. We were greeted with friendly faces and the staff recommendations for drinks & cocktails did not miss. Ari, the Watermelon Japanese Slipper was delicious, just as you promised. The staff gave us ample time to peruse the menu after taking the order for our first round of drinks, and our only complaint with the service was that it took some time to get our food order taken; however, it was obvious that the staff were busy tending to a bustling restaurant floor on a Saturday night and they were doing their best to get to everyone. With our food order placed, we enjoyed a second round of drinks, with another great staff recommendation from country girl, Jess. The Magical Cosmopolitan reminded us of Froot Loops with an adult twist, and it was fun to have it prepared at our table while Jess shared some light-hearted banter with us. There was quite a wait for our food to come out but boy was it worth the wait! Everything was prepared and cooked to perfection, the dishes were plated beautifully and the food placed in front of us evoked all the senses. The only trouble we encountered with our meal was knowing where to start with so many tantalising options in front of us. We ordered the Coffin Bay oysters (natural), pumpkin mozzarella croquettes, asparagus and burrata, charred king prawns, confit duck, and the market fish & clam aquapazza. Every single dish was simply a joy to eat, and it would be near impossible to choose a favourite. The plates are refined and intended for sharing, so order accordingly if you’re going in with a keen appetite. When I left Loft 22 this evening, I was extremely satisfied and comfortably full at the end of our meal, while my husband wished he had ordered one extra dish to satisfy his man-sized hunger. Our only regret about our brief visit to Albany was that we didn’t dine at Loft 22 the night before, as we would’ve had the opportunity to return and try more options from the menu. Sadly, we will be departing Albany in the morning but we’ll be leaving with a memorable dining experience and the hope that we’ll one day make it back for another visit to this exceptional establishment.
