This restaurant is recommended to Chinese and Japanese cuisine lovers. Trying perfectly cooked sushi is a nice experience here. Most guests indicate that the staff is knowledgeable. The good service is a great advantage of Lok Fu.

We’ve been visiting this place for the past year( atleast once a month) and we always enjoyed the excellent service and the quality of food has been of a high standard. However this evening, 03/02/2019 we arrived at 20:00 expecting nothing more or less, we were informed that they would be closing at 20:30 despite their closing times being listed as 22:00. We were served rushed with the preparation of the sushi being greatly unsatisfactory. While eating the bill was brought and asked if we could have takeaways so that everyone could leave.
Recommendations to the manager: Try keep to your operating hours

The quality of the food is great!!! The pricing on the other hand is quite steep compared to some other establishments in the area. I stopped going for a while after the revamp because their standards had dropped. I decided to give them another try today and was impressed with my meal. The only downer is that the portions are almost half of what they used to be.

I use to be a big fan of Lok Fu because they were value for money and close to home. But after the revamp they took a turn for the worst.

First they started charging more for platters and stopping the sushi buffet and now they cancelled buy-1-get-1-free on all but Mondays and Tuesdays less than a month later.

We found this out after opening our bag at home (as we normally don't check because we trusted them) and found the platter emptier than usual and then we had to phone them to find out why. They could have told us over the phone when we ordered.
What use to be ZAR120 for 2 is probably closer to ZAR350 for 2 for sushi. They have become greedy and I will probably never support them again. There are better establishments for only slightly more.
