Dear management, I am writing to express my disappointment with the service I received at “Loko,” the restaurant located by the beach in Foz do Douro. Unfortunately, the experience was far below what one would expect from a place in such a prime location, often visited by tourists. The staff showed little motivation or willingness to assist us or even help us find a place to sit. What was most upsetting was the behavior of one of the waitresses, a young Black woman with braids who referred to my husband in a flirty way as “amor” (which means “love” in Portuguese). Regardless of whether she is Brazilian or African, which I assume she might be, and still I do not care, there is no level of familiarity that justifies this kind of unprofessional and inappropriate language. For a beachfront restaurant with so much potential, I expected a much higher level of professionalism and courtesy from the staff. I hope you take this feedback seriously and use it to improve the quality of service for future guests. Unfortunately the first and last time we visited this place. Ah; btw here’s how the crêpe was served to meWITH A SPOON and the ice cream came exactly like in the picture. What a shame! Please do better!
