Still waiting... Did Mobile check-in for 2:30pPT... it's 4:30pPT and still waiting for the room! I am so disappointed! No free drinks while we wait, nothing! Beautiful lobby tho. Disappointed.

We stayed here the night before a cruise and were given breakfast vouchers by the front desk because our room had multiple issues. The toilet was stopped up and when we went to call downstairs, the phone was dead. The tv remote also didn't work and we didn't have towels in the bathroom and had to wait an hour for someone to bring them. We had planned to order room service breakfast, but kind of hard to do when the phone doesn't work. We took the food vouchers provided by the front desk and trudged down to the Grill. Breakfast the next morning at The Grill turned the trip around. Benny, our server, was AMAZING; very friendly and accommodating. He gave us great recommendations on menu items. Having worked in food service, I know "voucher" customers often don't tip well - if at all - and can be very rude, typically because the vouchers were given because something went wrong in the hotel. Some servers often do the bare minimum as guests take out their frustrations with the hotel staff on the server instead. Not Benny. He treated us like we owned the place. Meeting him turned around our whole trip. If you stay at the Westin Long Beach and dine at The Grill, ask for Benny!

First time here. We were visiting from out of state and let's just say the customer service and hotel was perfect. I would like to say April Sykes went above and beyond for us. She made us feel so welcomed and was on top of everything extra that we asked for. I was here for a surgery and she made sure we had extra linens and food that I needed after my surgery. April deserves 100 stars for the way she cares for the customers. Definitely will be staying here again.
