Pleasant hotel/café right in the historic center of Amersfoort. We slept on the garden side and were not bothered by any noise at all (something we were a bit afraid of beforehand, since it is also a café.) Our room was basic, but very neat. There is a shower in the room, but a toilet in the hallway. Didn't bother us, but might be a downside for others? Delicious breakfast buffet with savory, sweet, fruit and of course coffee and tea of your choice and fruit juice (just ask the staff). Biggest plus: VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL STAFF!!! Several times in the morning I was up much earlier than breakfast hour and sat reading in the backyard (a hidden gem near the water). Even though it wasn't breakfast time yet, I kept getting asked if I wanted a coffee. Don't expect a Hilton (I think it's too sterile anyway), but expect a super cozy atmosphere and staff who see you and are there for you with a broad smile. Location is also a huge plus. You are within walking distance of the main sights, museums and cafes and restaurants. You cannot reach it by car, but the underground parking garage Q-park in the center of Soeverein is a few minutes' walk away. We reserved our parking for 3 days at €28, free in and out via parclick. Hassle free and no money for 3 days. When we come to Amersfoort again, we already know where we will spend the night. The room and its bathroom were very small but comfortable (it was a room with bathroom), really clean, comfortable bed and temperature in the room. The breakfast was good, but not too many options. The parking was not so close, because the hotel was in the heart of the centre. The hotel had a perfect location. The staff was very friendly and kind. We loved our stay, we would recommend it and we would return, hopefully we will return. Rooms: 3 Service: 5 Location: 5 Hotel highlights: Quiet, Great value
