Really dropped off recently. Got to Lon's about 10 minutes before our 12:30 reservation. Hostess said we could not be seated yet because there was no staff available to seat us and recommended we sit outside while we wait.... on bird crap covered chairs. Also lied to us because when the help returned we were also not able to be seated because she didn't know what tables were occupied... and then in front of our party sat a walk-up group. Once seated things got worse. Our server took forever and had to be reminded multiple times for things like hot sauce. Three times actually while our food got cold. Ordered my eggs over-medium, a difficult order but I received the most runny fried egg imaginable. During our meal there was a fair amount of smoke on the patio because while they had a nice wood fire going... nobody opened the flu. Refills on an iced tea was met with, 'yep, I'll go get that.' and nothing showed up. Checking back in during the meal and reminding our server of the request, 'oops I'll go get that now.' I'm sure by this point you won't be surprised to find out the iced tea never showed up. Lastly took about 25 minutes from being presented with the check to being able to sign and depart. Overall this was so drastically different from past trips we were shocked. Won't be returning with so many better options in the area. Stunning property. Perfect outdoor setting on a beautiful night. This was my second time here and I was disappointed by the food this time having remembered it as my favorite the time before however dispute not loving our entrees the tuna appetizer melts in your mouth! With quaint live music as the sunsets, the atmosphere is perfection. We may just come from drinks and atmosphere next time or brunch even as the food menu is pricey. Service: Dine in Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $100+ Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
