Excellent food and impeccable service! I even ordered a to go meal the next day. Highly recommended. They have a room that is great for parties too.

Had another tasty lunch here the other day. Hubby had the enchiladas rancheros and I had the taquitos with chicken. We will definitely be back! Service was fast and friendly and accommodated our special requests for our order!

First the good: The staff is incredibly polite, courteous and friendly. They are also VERY attentive. The building is gorgeous and well decorated both inside and out. They gave me very generous amounts of condiments and a gal came over and offered us a chips and salsa refill, and since that's a huge reason for dining in vs. getting takeout, I was happy to see her do that. Their chips and salsa are good. Now the bad: Ordered diet Pepsi but it tasted like diet Coke. They don't test the sweetness and fizz of the formula in their soda machines I don't think, or else they would have known how bad that soda tasted. It wasn't sweet and it wasn't fizzy enough. Just bad. I ordered the mexican pizza. I have had really awesome mexican pizza at Azteca so I am always hopeful that another restaurant can crack the code. This place has not cracked the code to good mexican pizza... The tortilla which should be lightly crispy even beneath the massive pile of beans, was almost undetectable because of the very high moisture content of this place's refried beans. I meant to order ground beef on it but because my friend started trying to order for me, it threw me off. Once I realized it was devoid of meat, the waiter brought me the meat separately. It was in a little bowl and it was more like ultra ground up chili meat in sauce. Like, that kind of chili that has no beans. When ground beef is THAT ground up, it just doesn't register to me as nice, hearty, detectable ground beef. It was in a greasy sauce which might have just been the hamburger fat all melted and saucy. Hard to say. My friend ordered a dish with steak and green peppers (and onions) as the main 3 ingredients. I felt the steak was cooked to perfection, as well as the veggies, however, they were too timid(?) to spice up the meat so it was quite bland in flavor. I think maybe they are relying too much on the offered condiments to spice everything up because they are afraid that the customers would think things are too spicy...but there are ways to spice food up without it being "hot". Spices are very important. Represent yourselves, Lorenzo's. Find a chef who knows how to spice meats better.
