What looks to be a genuine Spanish tapas experience is a sad reflection of realityonly too accommodating to get you a table is where the enjoyment endsthe head waiter (may even be the owner?) is only concerned with getting g new customers off the street in obvious competition with its neighboring businessesleast to say, the service was atrociously (should be -1 star), the food bland and just rating 1 star and the atmosphere was not helped by the arrogant head waiterthinks carefully before you take a seatand when you want to pay the bill, good luck in getting that sortedit took an intent to depart without it that finally got some begrudging attention from head waiter’s father it may seem. a very sad representation of all that is so positive in the Spanish tapas food scene. I love Los Candiles, pop in for a coffee or a cana - they have an extensive menu if you are hungry, and it's all very good food. It is located on Plaza de Socorro which is roughly in the very centre of Ronda. The staff are very welcoming - I'd say my only complaint about the place is they only open until 4pm... a better lunch would be hard to find though....
