Being at this restaurant, try nicely cooked consomme, soup and laing. It's time to degustate good coffee or great juice. The courteous staff meets you at Los Gallos all year round. Visitors say that the service is terrific here. You are to be pleasantly impressed with fair prices at this place. The atmosphere is homey, as people find it. Most guests who visited this spot rated it 4.8 on Facebook.

Los Gallos is always our first stop when arriving in Tecate. Delicious food served by an incredibly friendly staff. Cute, charming, and right across the street from the main plaza. You can't go wrong here

We were walking by the place and decided to give it a try, well I hope we didn't. At first they served us some complimentary caldo de pollo and it was really good so expectations were high for the food, sadly it didn't meet the least of it. I ordered a gordita, it was filled with lettuce so it made it wet, beans were not even refried (if you like gorditas de frijoles know what Im talking about) it was just a soaked tortilla with flavorless beans and lettuce?! Also ordered Birria, meat wasn't best quality nor flavorful like it should, it was almost ok and I would've given a different rating (3 probably) but the top of the cherry was a COCKROACH that fall from the ceiling on to our table after I saw another climbing the wall. So no, I don't recommend this place at all.

Stumbled upon this cute restaurant and it did not disappoint one bit. The atmosphere and people was very nice and the food was so good made us order to go for later! The prices are great. Definitely recommend the green juice and the cafe de Jolla con los chilaquiles and machaca
