We are Americans, in our 60’s, traveling the world. I have celiacs and am always searching for gluten free options. Tonight we are back in Montevideo and we took an Uber to this restaurant to see what they have. The restaurant is 100% gluten free, which wasn’t easy to find in our last city, Punta del Este. The atmosphere is modern and clean from the time you walk in. The grill is on one side and the bar on the other. We were greeted and welcomed immediately and offered a table between the grill and the bar. They were on the tail end of their first service so the restaurant wasn’t that full. Brian, our main waiter spoke some English. The menu is online. I ordered a ribeye steak medium well and it came with fries and an egg. My husband ordered paella. I ordered a glass of Malbec and my husband ordered a glass of Sauvignon blanc and I ordered a glass of Malbec. Both were opened in front of us and we tasted and both were delicious. I take my steak medium well, which is hard to do but it was done perfectly with a crust. On the outside and a succulent tasteful inside just right. The fries were also perfect. My husbands paella had a perfect texture and was flavorful and the seafood tasted fresh. But I need to mention prior to our meal they brought a small artisan loaf of bread that was outstanding. It had a wonderful crust and the inside was moist and chewy. It was a surprise and maybe the best gf bread I’ve had. We completely enjoyed the meal, the servers (many of them) around were all kind and on their game. I highly recommend eating here. I’ve done over 1,700 reviews in various publications, in 75 different countries. Go, you won’t be sorry. Also, I should mention.. we would have ordered a dessert but we were too full. Super cute restaurant! Their cocktails were definitely some to remember, and I would go back for those alone. The buñuelos Reminded me of the ones my grandmother made growing up. The clones were not big portions like I was used to, so it made it easier to finish. We also enjoyed the ham and cheese croquettes, those are OK. And the mini prayers. The service was excellent. The atmosphere was perfect for those looking to have an intimate date night. It was easy to have conversations in there it was also Decorated well. It looked new. I would recommend this place Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
