I absolutely love this place. There is plenty of parking, although the lot is almost full there are always a few spots you can get that don't require too much walking. The waitstaff are superb. They make recommendations and are familiar with the menu. My waiter spoke to some of us in English and our Colombian guests in Spanish. Our Colombian connoisseur was pleasantly surprised by how good this place was. We have been here twice and we live in the University Area - that shows how far we are willing to travel to the best place around. The menu is very traditional, all the way down to the juices that include the tomato tree: it isn't really a tomato tree but that is the name of that fruit tree. Bring your appetite because the portions here are so large that nobody at our table could finish. We aren't the heaviest eaters but we are above average. You really need to be able to pack it away as these are larger than your average entrees at a restaurant. I especially liked the fried pork skin/fat - it is like a thick pork rind full of flavor. I never had this before. If you get the seafood soup - a special yellow soup that I forget the name of. Make sure to ask for a claw cracker because there are some nice crab claws in the soup and you will need to use your hands to get out all that delicious crab meat. I am definitely making another trip down to this restaurant. If you want to try the best Colombian food anywhere throughout Mecklenburg County then you need to make the trip out here.
