Fantastic restaurant! Some of the best service I've found in all of Latin America, let alone Nicaragua. Delightfully unique meal accompaniments, that represent both the influence of the regional cuisine and the inherent creativity they use. My fish was cooked so perfectly, it felt like I was eating a master class in pescado entero frito. They seem to take great pride in what they do, and what they do, they do very well.

We normally eat at the second location, but we had an appointment close to the original Los Ranchos so we stopped in for lunch. I find this original location to be more cozy, intimate and classic. The second location seems suited for more groups and has that open air feel. I'm sure this original location has areas like that, but we opted for the air conditioned area which has a much more private VIP feel to it. Service was top knotch, attentive, helpful and always present. Meal was, as always, a wonderful experience of quality flavors. Again, the refried beans (frijoles) and fried cheese, I crave everytime I order. A light tangy vinegarette iceburg salad is a delightful start to the main dish. My choice for main course was the pepper steak (medium), wife ordered the steak and mushrooms. Sides of vegetables and a healthy serving of white rice. All derserving of every star in my review. The second location solved my only small issue, that of the buttered baguette. I prefer a soft, warm, buttery baguette to dip into my leftover sause. Not the crispy, crunchy dry baguette we got with our meal. Still not enough of an issue to pass up this 5 star review. Doing business, bring your clients here! The attentive staff, classic warm intimate experience, and prefectly cooked steaks, the frijoles to die for, makes for a highly recommended meal and restaurant experience... any day of the week! Already dreaming of my return.
