Louver — Café by Day, Bar by Night in Sendai Asaichi A 3-minute walk from Sendai Station, Louver sits in the middle of Sendai Asaichi — a historic market district that's been feeding locals since the postwar era. The café's modern concrete-and-glass exterior stands out among the old market buildings, but somehow fits right in. From 8am to 6pm it operates as a café, serving single-origin coffee (from ¥780) alongside galettes, crêpes, and light meals. The salmon, sour cream, and carrot rapée galette (¥1,400) is a standout — refined and satisfying. The space is open and relaxed, easy to settle into whether you're alone or with company. Come evening, the same space shifts into a bar, with wine and craft beer until midnight. Open every day, no exceptions.
