It's an odd space next to the movie theaters, across from the so-called Dole Cannery food court, with no obvious place to park. Employees of the businesses in the Dole complex would be customers, sure, but that's not many people to split among a dozen eateries within 500 yards.
But it turns out Kevin and his family team are really good at what they do, and it didn't take long for the neighborhood to figure it out. And now people are making the trip to Dole Cannery just to eat there, which is good for Love and Limes, but perhaps more inconvenient for its fellow tenants.
The food is really good, but on top of that, it's healthy as well. I gravitate toward the meat dishes on the menu, but if you're a vegetarian you'll be quite happy here. Several salads, seafood (poke, ahi, salmon, shrimp), soups (including a must-try crab soup), as well as chicken, pork, and steak. Drinks range from iced tea and lemonade to Vietnamese iced coffee and cucumber lime coolers. My favorite dishes are the poke bowl (unfortunately the cilantro is mixed in) and ribeye steak plate.
They promote "fresh, healthy food, made with locally grown fruits and vegetables and flavors of Vietnam," and they deliver!
