Disappointing and definitely overpriced. I had fairly high expectations, given Lucali’s name and reputation, but unfortunately, the experience did not justify the price at all. There were four of us, and we ordered two pizzas with a few add-ons, two beers, a glass of wine, a Coke, a few desserts, and four espressos. The final bill, before tip, came up to $200. The issue isn’t spending money to eat well. The issue is spending almost $100 per couple for a lunch or dinner that was mainly pizza and leaving with the feeling that, for the same price, I could have eaten much better somewhere else. The pizza was good, but personally, I didn’t find it exceptional enough to justify these prices. In Miami, there are several Italian pizzerias where, in my opinion, the quality-to-price ratio is significantly better. I expected an experience worthy of Lucali’s reputation. For what we ate and what we paid, I wouldn’t go back. Price: definitely excessive for the experience received. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $50–60
