Good food and lots of it. We especially enjoyed the shrimp and broccoli, and everyone's favorite, Mongolian beef. Crispy wings were good, served with chilies and fried noodles were great. Tofu vegetable dish good if not inspired. Disappointed by Hot and Sour soup because I twice bit into bullion cube crystals. Bummer, because otherwise I liked the flavor. On previous visit enjoyed the salt and pepper fish. Service was crisp and highly efficient. Every town has a cherished Chinese restaurant that the locals love. Lucky Chinese Restaurant in El Centro is it. The positives about this place easily outweighs any negatives. Request for the stir fried green onions with lemon and salt as an appetizer and you'll understand why this place is like no other! The orange chicken, Lucky's chow mein, and hot and sour soup are all uniquely flavored and cooked with a Mexi-American Chinese fusion flair. The friendly, fast, and overall vibe of this place is what makes El Centro and Lucky's so great. No, this place is not your typical Chinese restaurant....so don't even compare. It's an amazing establishment that's been in El Centro for over 30 years (with some of the waiters who have worked there for 20+ years). I look forward to taking my family back to Lucky's!
