During the event, I noticed several employees standing in the corner, engaging in small talk and laughing. This behavior was inappropriate while guests were present and reflected poorly on the level of professionalism at the venue. Your employees did not apologize when making small mistakes while performing their duties, nor did they say "excuse me" when navigating around guests. This basic lack of courtesy was frustrating and made guests feel disrespected. The employees did not smile or make any effort to appear welcoming. It felt as though they were unhappy with their job, which created an uncomfortable atmosphere for the guests. Your employees exhibited an unpleasant attitude when interacting with guests. They refused to let guests take home leftover food from the buffet, which felt like they were imposing their own rules. This was highly unprofessional, considering the food was paid for by the event organizer and was meant for the guests, not the staff. As we were leaving, there were two employees sitting by the entrance/exit door, charging their phones and using them as though they were in their own home. This lack of attentiveness and professionalism was shocking and unacceptable for any business that deals with customer service. TO THE OWNER: It is crucial to establish strict rules on employee conduct. This includes prohibiting phone usage while on duty, discouraging idle chatting during events, and ensuring that all staff adhere to professional standards. If training and seminars do not improve staff behavior, it may be necessary to consider hiring new employees who are more suited to providing the professional and respectful service that is expected at an event venue.
