We reside in Mt. Juliet, but were running errands in Hendersonville. Always looking for non-chain, local eating establishments, Lyncoya Cafe was a big topic in the Foodies of Nashville FB page. There was a bit of a wait for a Thursday, which to me, was a good sign. I don’t think we waited more than 5 minutes after being told it was going to be 15-20. We studied the menu. This is a place where everything looks and sounded so delicious. I went with the fried fish sandwich with the house made tartar sauce. My wife ordered the harvest salad and my son ordered the mac & cheese topped with spicy firecracker chicken. Our server, Austen, was awesome. Super friendly and gave great recommendations. The food came out pretty fast. The fish sandwich, battered haddock, was insane. As long as my forearm. I have to cut it to bun size and I had a piece leftover for lunch the next day. As we talked to Austen, we learned he was from the same city in Southern California as we were. We had a blast talking to him. Such a great stop to eat, especially since we were not familiar with it. My only complaint is it’s not closer to us Mt. Juliet. When we are in Hendersonville, we will be sure to visit again. Got the Rueben and didn't like it. The meat was dry and lacked flavor overall. My wife got the French dip sandwich and it needed to be saturated in au jus to eat. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch Price per person: $20–30 Food: 2 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 3

I Would no longer recommend this place. I took my Mom here for lunch today and the service was absolutely horrible! This is the first time we have had bad service in this restaurant. But it was well over an hour before we ever got served our lunch which by this time was at 3:00 PM and there was nobody in the restaurant. I find this unacceptable! I won’t be going back there and I sure won’t bring my mother there again to eat! On top of that, The 2 wine glasses that I received my wine in were both dirty, and the waitress that took our order came back 30 minutes later and asked if we were ready to give her our order again! Again, nobody was in this restaurant it was virtually empty so unacceptable service!!!!
