Lynx Lake Cafe.......First time there with visiting family from Portland, Or.... Horrible experience with Greeter/ Seater and Owner. We were a party of 3 and Second on the waiting list. Party that signed in in front of us, was a party of 8. Their policy is to sit everyone in the order they came in, which is amiable, BUT...... there are empty tables that can sit parties of 2, 3 ,4, 5, 6, that were not seated, because they stated they had to seat the party of 8 first. Other people that came after us requested they would like to sit in the empty tables next to the Live Entertainment, BUT were told they needed to be seated Outside, during our Monsoonal Rain period, and were not seated at the area of their request. After the Party of eight was seated, we knew we were next in line to be seated, and checked out the available tables ( we were hoping to get a lake view area table). We mentioned to the Greeter/Seater and Owner where we would like to sit (near the seating section, near the Lake view, since the previous customers, had just left in this seating area) and they denied us seating, since we were at the table, just waiting for them to clear it off ( after waiting 1 hour). The Owner did state they had to monitor the amount of people they allowed to be seated (even though there were alot of empty seating) since there was not enough Kitchen Staff, that could prepare meals for everyone. So apparently they were "Understaffed", (which I understand during a holiday weekend), BUT to be told they would "Not Serve us", since we Showed them where we would like to be seated (empty table and all- and we were next in line to be seated), but they were cleaning the table, in front of us, They stated that since we walked to the table (so we could show them where we would like to sit) they could deny us Service, Wow!!! We felt "Unappreciative" and made to feel "like a criminals" for showing the staff and owner, where we wanted to be seated and that we were "Turned Away". There was "No Alcohol" involved before going to the restaurant and during our restaurant wait. On the other side, the ambiance is nice inside, a great view of the lake. Unfortunately I will never recommend dini g at this restaurant to family, relatives and friends, let alone anyone on social media. They need a New Rule at their Restaurant. Make your Customers feel Appreciative, as opposed to sending them away, making them feel they did something wrong, just because they requested to sit, in a certain dining area of the restaurant... BAD VIBES.....

The 2 minutes we were there allowed us to make the best decision to leave. Ended up at Watson Lake where we didn't have to deal with such a rude server!

Went right at 8AM for breakfast. Service was excellent and breakfast delicious. As usual the entertainment, the Hummers, was fun to watch
