My wife and I went 8/14/26 for our 26th wedding anniversary and we not only had a great dinner, we got a short history lesson on the African diaspora on food composition. The staff and host were amazing, the ambiance and decor, music was TOP SHELF. I would highly recommend Mahari for any occasion, finally we were treated to a complimentary glass of fine champagne. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $50–60 Recommendation for vegetarians: Highly recommend Vegetarian offerings: Vegetarian menu or section Dietary restrictions: Sensitive to food allergy Parking space: Plenty of parking Parking options: Free of charge parking lot

I was super excited to try Mahari given all the high praise surrounding it. Unfortunately, my experience booking a business lunch weeks in advance ended in frustration. After confirming over the phone and being reassured that an update to their operating hours wouldn't affect my booking, my reservation was abruptly canceled via email on the day of the event. While I’m not trying to slam the restaurant, the lack of reliability makes it tough to recommend for business or time-sensitive occasions. Hopefully, their scheduling and reservation process smooths out soon. Food: 2 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2 Price per person: $1–10

I wanted to like this place soooo bad based on other reviews. As someone who dines out 3/4 times a week for the last 17 years this place missed the mark. Came for a 8:30 reservation last Saturday was 10 mins late. They called to confirm which I love ( the customer service and ambiance was nice) not a large restaurant but decent size. The food missed the mark completely. Was told the kitchen closed at 9 on a Saturday ??? Very strange. The plantain's were stuck together. One side brown other side raw. Then we were sent barely cooked plantains.( eating raw plantains will give you stomach pains). They didn’t have steak, or ground beef for the other dishes. Scallops were over cooked and chewy. Rice was flavorless and cold. I don’t know if the kitchen was just done for the night or what but the food wasn’t good…. At all. Total spent was $150 for two entree, two extra side and 3 drinks. The quality of food was not worth the price. This was definitely a bit of social media hype. Food: 1 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: $40–50
