I have dined all over the world at many Michelin star restaurants and this by far was the best meal I ever had. Chef and Sommelier truly work as a unified team to incorporate so many unique flavors throughout the meal. The presentation of each dish was so incredibly beautiful. Chef is so warm hearted and Sommelier does an incredible job of presenting each drink/dish. We came during a typhoon and were the only two people in the entire restaurant, I truly felt like a king. They easily could have called and cancelled but instead they made this the most memorable meal of my life. THANK YOU CHEF AND SOMMELIER! We hope to return very soon. Mashiro truly felt like a once and a lifetime experience. From the atmosphere, to the amazing staff, and of course the food. Our group of four traveled from the US and were interested in experiencing a fine dining option while visiting Kyoto and could not be more happy that we found Mashiro. Every dish was a unique experience, the staff was kind enough to answer all of our questions and warmly interact with us throughout the meal. The most unforgettable moment was how the staff cared for my wife, whom we just learned was pregnant several days prior to the booking. They changed certain dishes despite the set menu, and designed a beautiful congratulatory message in our final desert that almost brought us to tears. Thank you Mashiro for such a special night!
