Juanitas MAT is pretty near Nordnorsk Vitensenter. Clients state that they like the menu of Chilean cuisine here. Imagine a combination of tasty meals and the gracious staff, this is exactly what this restaurant provides you with. The cool service is something these restaurateurs care about. From the guests' point of view, prices are low. As many visitors say, the atmosphere is lovely. 4.7 is what Juanitas MAT got from the Google rating system.

Unfortunately, I can only advise against visiting Juanita's Mat. I went there to eat during the semester break, and the closing time was listed as 2:00 PM. When I arrived shortly before 1:00 PM, I was very clearly and rudely told to hurry up with assembling my meal and at the salad bar. According to the staff member Juanita, no food would be served after 1:00 PM, even though the opening hours were listed until 2:00 PM. The food was okay, but nothing more than that. Juanita also snapped quite harshly at an elderly woman who didn’t know where to return the tray with used dishes. A very unfriendly and unpleasant experience, and I will never eat there again. I am even considering reporting this behaviour to Samskipnaden (the student welfare organization at UiT), as this is not how people treat each other in Norway!
