Disclaimer— I’m on a hunt for the best peanut butter egg roll in Chicago— the direct descendent of Pekin House..! Thus, my review pertains to their egg roll alone. They don’t serve them—we got bad information that they did. Place was modern and packed! They had a 1hr wait for a table for 2 and asked for a $10 deposit to put our name on the list. Had a nice talk and learned it wasn’t what we were after. But it looks good if you want modern Chinese! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

MCCB Chicago is one of the best dining experiences you can have anywhere in city, hands down. The wait times can be excessive, and a deposit is required to join the list; but it is well worth the wait. Service is quick, clear and dedicated, with an extensive menu and variety of offerings. For those with gluten free dietary restrictions, there are more clearly labeled choices on the menu than I’ve seen at any other Chinese restaurant. Spice and seasoning levels are uncompromising, and the dishes are presented promptly and generously. All of this—and more—at exceptionally reasonable pricing bring MCCB Chicago to the top of my list.
