The Mido Restaurant is ok, nothing really special. The presentation of the dishes is nice. The service was rather unfriendly. Didn't respond to our request. We wanted to change our ways and asked politely. Our question was answered in the negative because guests were still expected. There were 7 of us. The table we wanted remained empty. Was then divided. Then they can leave us sitting there... Very inflexible. After we paid (185€) we were asked at the exit whether we had actually paid. Ultimately a subpar experience. Goes better. There are plenty of options in the area. The food and the price were acceptable, but nothing special. The surprise came at the end of the meal where we attempted to pay for the meal. The waiter would accept only cards on German banks. I have mistakenly believed having a Visa, Mastercard, or American Express card would be accepted. I hesitate to think what would have happened if I had not taken enough cash to pay for the meals. This cannot or should not be acceptable in an upscale Berlin restaurant. Maybe they should post, no foreigners wanted.
