Had a very tasty meal with Riccardo and Francesca today. Focaccia, Orecchiette, Tartufo al Limone and Tiramisu are all extremely tasty. The Primitivo was a perfect fit, the espresso macchiato was also on point, that's how it has to be, authentic down-to-earth cuisine made with love. No more choice is needed. Attentive service. I hope the two of them will be visited often and the relatively new restaurant will establish itself!! Ambiance is still a bit "practical", if things go well - and I really hope that for both of them - something will certainly be done to bring even more from Apulia to Augsburg. If you are looking for a REAL trattoria, Riccardo is the right place for you! As usual with a good trattoria, the menu is not as large as in a classic restaurant, on my visit there were three starters, three main courses and dessert of the day. There is always what is currently available on the market, so to speak. Everything is prepared fresh and from high-quality products, at Riccardo from local producers from southern Italy. As a starter I had a platter of various Italian dishes. Sausage, cheese and my absolute highlight, the porchetta! For the main course I had Orecchiette con Burrata and some pistachios. Perfectly prepared, the pasta was perfectly al dente and a burrata like I've never had in Germany. Plus a wine (Primitivo) from Appulia, where else? For dessert, a pistachio tartuffo and a coffee. An evening couldn't end better...oh yes: the grappa made from pomace from Primitivo is also a mega highlight! In summary: this trattoria is definitely worth a visit for anyone who loves real Italian cuisine. It's definitely something different than the many Germanized Italian restaurants, you'll never find a nightmare like the typical carbonara with ham cream sauce at Riccardo's. Ottimo lavoro, Riccardo!
