I went with friends who were visiting from afar. You can enjoy various dishes other than Chanko Nabe. The shops on Kiyamachi Street are also very good, but they are crowded with people. I think these would be good for parties. There are also main stores of ``Konpeito'' and ``Asarimochi'' nearby. I think you can enjoy walking around.
