Discovered Monochrome via Specialty Coffee Tour. The space is tucked in a conspicuous spot with a loyal local following. The cafe also double as an art gallery with works from artists picked by the owner, P' Bhang. The cafe design is artfully designed that brings a lot of character and homey feel. Upon entering you are warmly welcomed by the staff, fortunately, on the day of my visit P' Bhang was there. Apparently as is customary for the shop, you get a welcome coffee shot from their custom roasted beans. They have a great selection of beans for their pour-over options, as well various offerings for their espresso based drinks. I ordered a pour over of their Thai local beans, the coffee was a treat to the senses. It has great aroma and the flavor notes truly shined with the brew I was given. Each guest is can easily feel at home here and I can definitely understand why the locals are loyal to Monochrome. Meal type: Other Price per person: ฿1–200 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Tried their local Thai blend. Surprisingly approachable. Light-bodied with almost no bitter aftertaste, making it exceptionally easy to drink even for those who usually shy away from black coffee. What stood out most was a gentle natural sweetness that lingered after each sip. Not loud, not fruity, not trying too hard. Just balanced, clean and comfortable.
