Everything was all right. Calamari was good.
Lyft dripped us mid-block and we had to look to find it (street construction problem). All pasta was fresh made and the sauces were so flavorful. At our table we had the bianco-nero, the Pappardelle with lamb ragout and fusilli special. All plates were clean when done. Highly recommend this wonderful find
Pasta doesn't get much better than this. Great sauces and fresh ingredients make Maccheroni Republic stand out. I had the Gnocchi which was cooked perfectly and paired with a satisfying ground beef sauce with forest mushroom. We also had the Tortellini Alfredo, which was filled with spinach and ricotta. I preferred the Gnocchi, but the Parmesan Alfredo sauce was outstanding especially with some bread. The sauce was very creamy and tasted almost as sweet as milk or ice cream. For dessert we had the ricotta cheesecake, which tasted like a mix between a cheesecake and a semi-sweet pound cake. I was worried about not being able to finish it, but the cheesecake is very light and refreshing thanks to the berry compote it comes with. Besides the food, that staff was extremely friendly and made us feel very welcomed. If you come here, I would highly recommend ordering two different types of pasta. Going back and forth between the two kept the meal wonderful as I couldn't decide which I liked better.
