Stopped in for a drink after walking Rainbow St and was thrilled by the hospitality, quality of cocktails and music. The there was a live DJ who was playing great house music, my wife’s cocktail recommendation was great and my gin drink was excellent. There also happened to be bingo going on in the outdoor space which was a nice activity while we decompressed from sightseeing. We didn’t get food but the dishes I saw looked very good Price per person: JOD 15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

One of the best spots in Amman! Ticks all the boxes. Food is amazing, outside the box Mediterranean fusion! Ambience fits for all occasions. Superb drinks and very professional yet friendly staff! Would definitely come back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Disappointing Service & Management Issues We visited Macera on a Thursday evening, having enjoyed the venue previously when it was Copas Central. Unfortunately, our experience was highly disappointing and we will not be returning. 1. Management Attitude (The First Impression): The venue was completely empty when we arrived. Despite this, the manager who approached us was incredibly cold, arrogant, and insistent on asking about a reservation, treating us with a noticeable sense of condescension while the place had zero customers. This unwelcoming attitude set a very poor tone for the entire evening. 2. Confusing and Pushy Service: We requested a draft beer, but were told it wasn't available. Then, we were informed the draft machine itself was broken, and were pressured to purchase the smaller, more expensive bottled options. The waiter (who later became polite) eventually pushed us towards a specific Spanish bottle (Alhambra). This pushy approach regarding the drinks and the misleading information about the draft machine was frustrating and unprofessional. 3. Safety & Venue Design Concerns: While returning from the restroom, I tripped (stumbled) on an unnoticeable step/stair. The floor design is confusing and potentially dangerous. The manager, who saw me stumble, simply said "Salāmāt" in a condescending and mocking tone, showing zero concern for customer safety. 4. Pricing & Discount Discrepancy: The final bill was unexpectedly expensive, with the beer priced at around 5.5 JOD per bottle—which is the standard, non-discounted price. The advertised 35% discount (Happy Hour) appeared to be entirely ignored. The One Positive Note: We want to acknowledge the kind and helpful waiter, Hanna who eventually engaged in a friendly conversation. He was the only positive element of the visit. Conclusion: Macera has beautiful decor, but the combination of its arrogant management, deceptive pricing/discounts, and concerning safety issues means we cannot recommend it. A bad customer experience, led by poor management, ruins the entire visit. Price per person: JOD 10–15 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
