Nestled in Tokigaoka, Machiyui is a charming spot currently operating as both a bakery and a soba restaurant. With opening hours spanning from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM every day except Thursday, it caters to visitors seeking a fulfilling meal or a quick baked treat. Despite its dual nature and moderate pricing, some find inconsistency with the bakery's availability during expected business days. When open, the diversity of offerings extends to town information and a well-stocked souvenir corner.
Accessibility is a priority at Machiyui, featuring a wheelchair-accessible entrance, parking, and toilets. Complimentary parking is available, making it convenient for all guests. Payment options are somewhat limited, as they do not currently accept credit cards, but debit card transactions are welcome. Visitors occasionally remarked on their experiences years ago, such as enjoying side dish bread and taking advantage of the in-store Wi-Fi.
With renovation details from four years back and no recent updates from owners or patrons, those planning a visit might consider verifying current operations. Visitors during weekdays may discover a quieter setting, potentially resulting in a more personalized experience. Located along Tokigaoka, it stands ready to be rediscovered by both residents and newcomers alike in the city of Toki.

There is an area called "Terrace Gate Toki" right next to "Toki Premium Outlets". The facility there is ``Machiyui''. Inside, there is a tourist information center, a pottery experience class, a soba restaurant, and a bakery. Even during Golden Week, there is live piano music, and you can see how hard they are working, and you can't help but want to support them. The neighboring Toki Yorimichi Onsen is also popular, having been ranked number one in the Tokai region in the Nifty Onsen Annual Ranking 2020. Why not warm up your body from the core and relax and refresh yourself in the natural hot springs and rock baths? It's also close to the famous Michi-no-Eki Donburi Kaikan, so it might be fun to look around.
