Mooney's Bar & Restaurant in Dublin is a great place to go for a night out with friends. The bar staff are friendly and welcoming, the drinks selection is varied and the live music is a great touch. The food is also delicious, with the steak being particularly noteworthy. The interior is cozy and inviting, and there is plenty of space for larger groups. The toilets are well-maintained and the prices are reasonable. The staff are attentive and interactive, and the barman Killian is especially accommodating. The Guinness is good and the atmosphere is great. All in all, Mooney's Bar & Restaurant is an excellent place to spend time with friends and enjoy some great food, drinks and live music.

Canadian tourists, day 1 in Ireland. Walked over from our hotel for an early dinner and pint. 6 pm on a Wednesday not very busy, but people dropping in for a quick pint. We where greeted and had a seat. Great music playing, relaxed atmosphere, decent selection of beer. Only one cider to choose from. Limited menu, but looks like something for everyone. I ordered the Spice Bag (have never had one, but had read about it in anticipation of our trip) and it was exceptionally good! The chips are amazing, the dusted chicken was tasty, the peppers and onions where really good, but the star of the show was the curry sauce for dipping. I wish I was in Dublin longer, just for this plate of food! My wife had the grilled chicken sandwich and chips, which was quite good too. Beer and cider where served quickly, nice and cold. Overall a very nice find. Food: 5 Service: 3 Atmosphere: 4 Price per person: €20–30

Mooney's Bar & Restaurant is a classic Dublin pub with a lot of local charm and history, originally established decades ago and still keeping that authentic Irish feel. We stopped in to get out of the busy Temple Bar area and were so glad we did. A local had recommended it as a great spot to enjoy a pint, some hearty food, and catch a game on TV. The atmosphere was lively but relaxed, with a good mix of locals and visitors. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in. The food was exactly what you want from a traditional Irish pub- filling, flavorful, and generously portioned. We had the spice bag, which was excellent, and our friends went for the Guinness casserole and fish and chips. Both fish dishes were huge and perfectly cooked. Prices were very reasonable considering the portion sizes and quality, and the overall experience was solid. Mooney’s is the kind of spot where you can sit, enjoy a drink, have a hearty meal, and soak in the authentic Dublin pub vibe. Highly recommend it for anyone looking to get away from the crowded tourist spots and enjoy a true local experience. I would absolutely come back.
