Mäska is pretty near Amsterdam Sauer Museum. Tasting perfectly cooked anchovy, steaks and filet américain is what most guests recommend. Nothing can be better than ordering good Pavlova. Visitors don't highly appreciate wine at this restaurant.
The attentive staff works hard, stays positive and makes this place wonderful. Prompt service is something that people note in their comments. The ambiance of this place is cool. Google users assigned the score of 4.7 to Mäska.

Food decoration is nice but apologize to say that should improve food taste will be nice. Moreover, the second waiter guy (a bit chubby) should improve his service mind and learn how to do good service. Don't throw or slide the dessert dish with fork and spoon on it! When check, he put credit card machine on the table, we paid, he checked and turn his back immediatly and gone. Never get this kind of service manner in any restuarant before. We would like to pay service charge only for the first waiter who is very humble, nice and good manner. I went to the restaurant with my wife on Tuesday, September 12th to celebrate my birthday. Food: We ordered the steak tartare as a starter. Peculiar taste, the oyster brings a nice note to the dish. With this starter, we had good expectations regarding the main dishes. We ordered the shoulder and the rib, prepared for "12 hours". The quotation marks around the rib were intentional. Extremely resistant meat. Not to be rude, but I doubt whether the ribs were prepared in 2 hours. I literally tried to cut it off. The dish's accompaniments (puree, beetroot leaves and roti sauce) met expectations, but with the lack of protein, I lost the pleasure of tasting the rest of the dish. The shoulder is limited to 4 small strips of meat. Honestly, I think that's enough, I don't need to elaborate on the evaluation. We live less than a 5 minute walk from the restaurant and it was our first time at Maska. I even gave them a chance to improve the experience, mentioning that it was my birthday and asking if the house had any kindness to offer. The waiter Antônio didn't even listen, he said that the restaurant didn't offer anything. Even after the feedback we gave regarding the dishes, the waiter refrained and asked the maitre d' for help in dealing with our feedback. That said, without fear of making mistakes, we will continue to frequent the same restaurants in Ipanema that we are used to. Maska was a one-night experience.
