I’m an herbalist and was extremely excited to try what sounded like a great gem..Online said it was open so we walked there in the rain.. when we arrived there was no one there except one person inside watching tv? Door was locked so we knocked on the door.. she turned around looked at us and went back to watching tv.. she didn’t even come to the door to speak with us.. very unprofessional

Magical Stick is a small but wonderful bar near Nijo Castle in Kyoto. "Mama" seems to have a regular clientele, but welcomed us on two trips to Japan. She doesn't speak much English, but we had a good time anyway. Her dog Sabu is the other proprietor and if the bar is open is there. Price per person: ¥1,000–2,000 Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
