Magna Kusina made an unforgettable first impression. The Escabeche was pure comfort on a plate with a smoky sear on the outside with tender fish inside. The bright ginger-vinegar punch cut through everything perfectly and tasted like a true labor of love. The Halo-Halo was an absolute highlight. Sitting at the bar and digging past that rich piece of leche flan and velvety scoop of ube ice cream down into the fine shaved ice and sweet jellies was pure joy in a cup. It’s rare for a restaurant to completely win me over on just a single visit but Magna Kusina nailed it. I'm looking forward to going back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Price per person: $40–50
