Magnolia is a real experience in every sense of the word. It is a little hard to get to unless you are on the Camino Coastal Route, then it's on the "Way". The restaurant is in a fantastically renovated old and small Convent (de Cabanas) in Afife. It's got character and a church (for the Peregrinos) including passbook stamps for the Camino de Santiago. The Food is outstanding and while there are many restaurants in Portugal, many also have similar/same menus. Magnolia is truly a culinary destination. We went here three times in three weeks and tried quite few dishes on the (short) menu. All crafted expertly and with very tasty, flavorful. The steak was to the point and the meat of select quality, Polvo is nicely grilled, appetizers are exactly that with fresh salads and creative and inspired starters like lamb empanada etc. there is something for every taste. Service is fast, friendly and personal. Best of all, they stick to their high standards. Keep it going, it's great! Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €15–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Beautiful octopus as a main. Nice wine. Great desert. Perfect help with my gluten free wishes. Outside, on the terrace, in the sun, sound of the river, underneath a giant tree. Meal type: Lunch Price per person: €25–30 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
