On a casual weekend, tried the new Asian spot “Magnolia” in Maynard The ambience was nice and the place had a good vibe overall We tried the crispy five flavor shrimp , Singapore rice noodles with chicken, vegetables & egg, and chicken fried rice. The food was "just okay" and "could definitely be better". The "crispy five flavor shrimp" appetizer was on the sweeter side. "Singapore rice noodles" were tasty by themselves, but the chicken could have been cooked better and blended more with the spices. The chicken in some dishes also seemed to have a smell, which affected the overall experience. A decent place for ambience, but food-wise there’s still room for improvement.
