I would give it half a star if i could but i cant. The place is way to small, the security kicks you out just after 3 and theres no one to park even on a Monday. I was just feeling down and chilling on the benches outside when i was told to leave. Like what? Not worth the time Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

1 star and that’s only because zero isn’t an option. Sunday June 21st around 6 PM. My fiancée and I were having dinner next door at Blu Wolf Bistro on Park Avenue when we witnessed something that should disgust every person in this city. A group of young Black teenagers sat down at an outdoor table at The Maple. A man who appeared to be the bartender or owner came outside and told them they couldn’t sit there if they weren’t ordering. When words were exchanged he shouted the n word loudly in public on Park Avenue in broad daylight. At teenagers. Not under his breath. Not behind closed doors. Outside. Where anyone walking by could hear. Where we heard it clearly sitting next door. I am a Black man. My fiancée and I moved to Rochester four weeks ago. This is the welcome we received. This is 2026. There is no version of reality where this is acceptable. This is not a disagreement or a misunderstanding. This is a grown adult choosing to use one of the most dehumanizing words in the English language at young people who simply sat down at a table outside. If you own this business and this is how you operate you do not deserve one. If you work here and watched this happen without a word you are complicit. If you are considering spending your money here don’t. Especially if you are a person of color. This neighborhood deserves better. Those teenagers deserved better. Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
